Compliance
Our approach to compliance
MWMCUBE provides payment-related services for independent professionals through a regulated payment infrastructure provider. Compliance requirements apply to every customer and every payment. This page explains, plainly, how we approach them.
In brief
- Payments must be for legitimate professional services.
- Identity and beneficiary information may be required.
- Monitoring and screening are performed with our partners.
- Supporting documents may be requested.
- Payouts go only to customer-provided wallets.
01 — Scope
What the service is, and what it isn't
Businesses pay freelancers and contractors in Romania and other EU countries for professional services, in EUR, USD. After the payment is confirmed and checked, the freelancer can receive eligible funds as a supported digital asset in their own compatible wallet.
MWMCUBE is not a crypto exchange and provides no investment or trading services. We do not offer deposits, savings, cards or lending, and we do not hold custodial wallets for customers.
Payments must represent legitimate professional services, such as:
- Software developmentWeb, mobile and backend engineering, maintenance and QA
- AI / ML engineeringModel development, data pipelines, MLOps and evaluation
- DevOps & cloudInfrastructure, CI/CD, reliability and platform work
- DesignProduct, UI/UX, brand and visual design
- ConsultingTechnical, product and business advisory engagements
- MarketingContent, growth, performance and communications services
02 — Controls
How compliance works in practice
- 01
Our own due diligence
Our company completes KYB with our payment infrastructure provider, [Payment Infrastructure Partner], before payments are processed through it.
- 02
Customer identity and beneficiary information
Identity or transaction information may be required depending on payment amount, jurisdiction, and applicable compliance requirements.
- 03
Transaction monitoring and screening
Payments and payouts are monitored and screened, including sanctions screening, performed together with our infrastructure partners.
- 04
Supporting documents
To confirm that a payment relates to genuine professional services, we may request an invoice, a contract or a statement of work.
- 05
Customer-provided wallets and network checks
Payouts go only to a wallet the customer provides and controls. The customer confirms the asset, network and full address before each payout. Please confirm that this wallet supports the selected asset and blockchain network.
- 06
Record keeping
Records of customers, payments, payouts and checks are kept for the period required by applicable law: [Retention period].
Digital asset transfers may be irreversible. Sending funds using the wrong wallet address or network may result in permanent loss.
03 — Limits
